At present, the metal lath used in the decoration of the wall is not widely used, but with the rapid development of the national economy, the construction quality and housing conditions of the requirements will be higher and higher, the use of metal lath will gradually be popularized, which makes the metal lath in the domestic market prospects will be very broad. But at the present stage, the production process of metal lath is not very good both in efficiency and quality. Therefore, how to efficiently produce a better quality metal lath will be of high practical value and theoretical significance.This thesis takes the metal lath of DD0.5×4×690×2440 as the research object, which is the most commonly used in practical.As for the new forming process, the study for the forming process and process parameters of metal lath,through theoretical analysis and numerical simulation method.Firstly, A deep analysis is carried in view of the defects of metal lath stretch forming by oblique pulling, and cleared the causes of the defects. Based on that, a new stretch forming process was proposed, which includes two different forms of tensile, i.e. clamping flatwise tensile and claw type flatwise tensile, and then combined with numerical simulation and analysis of the stress state, identified the feasibility of the two different forms of tensile by preliminaty.Secondly, the corresponding finite element model is set up for the two kinds of different stretch form. The respective deformation nephogram and load-displacement curve were obtained based on the finite element simulation of the stretch process. On the one hand, to verify its feasibility as further, on the other hand, to compares with the two kinds of stretch form to determine the best one, and carry on the corresponding structure design.Finally, in order to determine the maximum stretch load to the entire metal lath, a further analysis of the force is carried for the best one. In addition, another finite element model and different stretch speed for the stretch forming and springback analysis is carried out on the metal lath by using LS-DYNA explicit and implicit solution techniques. Regard mesh uniformity as well as residual stress and strain as evaluation indexes, analyzing the simulation results to determine the appropriate stretching speed and springback compensation, and determine the process parameters of the stretch forming at last.
