This paper mainly studied the preparation of polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimer and the application in dyeing industry.Ethylenediamine as nuclear and methyl acrylate as addition, to synthesize the 1.0-the 4.0 generation PAMAM by divergent method. The result showed that the optimum reaction temperature 25℃, reaction time 24h, the materials ratio of ethylene diamine and methyl acrylate is 1:8 for the 0.5 generation and 1:24 for the 1.0 generation. The novel polycarboxylic acid anti-crease finish reagents without formaldehyde ware synthesized using chloroacetic acid and the 2.0 generation PAMAM dendrimer. The result indicated, when the mole ratio of PAMAM and chloroacetic acid was 1:24 and reacted 12h in room temperature, the yield was 87.6%. The cotton fabric was treated with 3% of the agent and 4% of catalyst (sodium hypo-phosphite), baked at 180℃for 90s, The results showed that the recovery angle increased by 63%, while the warp strength retention was over 70%, a little changes in white content, and the washing fastness was well. The nano-PAMAM dendrimer as the carrier, to prepare the anti-bacterialcotton reagent. The cotton was prepared by it and then immersed into silver nitrate solution. The effect of the carrier concentration, silver nitrate concentration and immersion time on the bacterial inhibition rate ware studied. The results showed that fabric treated with 3%the carrier, immersed in 2.0×10-3 mol·L-1 silver for 60mins had the best antibacterial effects on Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, the bacterial inhibition rate above 90% after 50 washing. And the performance of the treatedcotton fabric had no significant impact. The dendrimer modified alginate acid fiber was prepared by wet spinning method, and the paper studied the influence of different quantity of PAMAM on fibers strength, hygroscopicity and dyeing properties. Experiments indicated that the fiber had the markedly dark effect when the dendrimer additive amount was not than 10%, and when the dendrimer additive amount is 5%, the dendrimer modified alginate acid fiber not only presented higher K/S value, but also had better color fastness to hot water and color fastness rubbing.
