As a natural fabric products, cotton fabric is soft and comfortable to wear with goodpermeability. It is much popular among consumers. But it is easy to crease anddeformation after washing and wearing. Therefore the crease-resist finishing to purecotton is needed. There are a lot kinds of Crease-resist finishing agent, the first getindustry widely used is n-methylol amide compounds with the active proup of N-methylol.It is used to cellulose fibre fabric for preshrunk finish, may obtain good crease resistanteffect. But the fabric after finished can release a lot of formaldehyde no matter in themachining process or after finished. For the producers and consumers’ health, reduce therelease of formaldehyde and carboxylic acid class finishing agent become a hot spot forresearchers. BTCA has the best crease-reist effect among them. But the price is expensive,a large number use is limited. Citric acid’s finishing effect is worse than BTCA for it hasthree carboxyl.Based on the nature of the cotton fabrics and by regulating the different influencingfactors of citric acid esters’s synthesis. I preparation out corresponding new citric acidformaldehyde-free crease-resist finishing agent. Then test the whiteness, strength, and therecovery angle of the cotten fabric after finished. To find the best preparation process ofcitric acid formaldehyde-free crease-resist finishing agent. And optimization out itsfinishing process at the same time.New formaldehyde-free crease-resist finishing agent the characteristics of greenenvironmental protection and the preparation technology is simple. The study confirmedthat new citric acid formaldehyde-free crease-resist finishing agent’s finishing effect isprominent, no yellowing, crease recovery Angle is high, the washing fastness is high. Theaffect of new formaldehyde-free crease-resist finishing agent is most likely camparablewith the2D resin and even better than2D resin.
