This paper mainly studied the modification of PAMAM dendrimer and its application in fiber. This experiment used divergent method to synthesize the 2.0 generation PAMAM.And Epoxy chloropropane as raw materials to modify the 2.0 generation PAMAM dendrimer to be modified PAMAM dendrimer. The result showed that the materials ratio of PAMAM and Epoxy chloroproane was 1:12, and then reacted for 5h under the temperature of 55℃, then debase the temperature to 30℃ and reacted for 2h, the thickness of KOH was 50% and the yield was 70%.The cotton fabric was treated with 10g/L of the modified PAMAM and 40g/L of catalyst NaOH, baked at 130℃ for 75 s, the results showed that the recovery angle increased by 17.5%, while the warp strength retention was over 90%, and the white content keeps over 85.1%, and the washing fastness was well.In order to improve the dye-ability of cotton fabric with reactive dyes, the cotton fabric was pretreated with modified PAMAM. The dyed modified PAMAM cotton fabric exhibited the similar K/S values and washing fastness and rubbing fastness in salt-free dyeing. Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometry indicated that the-OH group of the cotton fibers had reacted with the modified PAMAM. The results showed that fabric treated with 10g/L of modified PAMAM and 40g/L of NaOH, and reacted 5min under the temperature of 60℃. The dyed cotton fabric with reactive dyes in salt-free dyeing displayed better color strength, washing fastness and rubbing fastness.
