Research On Consteel Eaf Automatic Control System

The Consteel Process is an electric furnace steelmaking process with continuous charging, continuous preheating of the scrap, continuous meltdown and continuous melting. Compared to any EAF installation using conventional steelmaking technology, Consteel process has the advantages of little meltdown time cost, low power cost, low noise level and clean environment. This is an advanced and competive electric furnace steelmaking technology.This thesis deals with the control system of Consteel 75t nominal tapping capacity EAF in Diantou Iron & Steel Co.It has some researches on the automatic control system as follows:(1) Builds a model of the quantity estimate of scrap If the Consteel process is satisfied, the scrap which is added to the electric furnace in the meltdown process will be melted quickly. There is no scrap in the furnace.The weight about the liquid steel could be weighted by the weight system. The scrap estimate model can estimate the quantity of the scrap which is added to the furnace. The quality of the scrap is the premise of the realization about the steel temperature estimate and the control of conveyor speed.(2) Builds a model of liquid steel temperature estimate If the Consteel process is satisfied, the model can monitor the change of the liquid steel temperature according to the energy conversation law. The model is the basic of the realization about liquid steel temperature automatic control.(3) Builds a model of the conveyor speed control If the Consteel process is satisfied, the conveyor speed control model can control the speed of the feed-in stuff, make the temperature similar to the target value, then realizes the Consteel process.(4) The realization of the automatic control program. The program is about the Consteel process temperature automatic control The automatic control program of the Consteel liquid temperature can realize the automatic control of the liquid steel.The program is compiled by Delph.(5) Research on the function design of the basic control system and the realization method (6) Research on the function design of the process control system and the realization method.After this research, the principle and the realization method of the Consteel automatic liquid steel temperature control system are mastered. This thesis also provides some theoretic guide to optimize the process and improve the quality.
