The dose of natural radioactive radiation received by human is about 2.4mSv/a, whose major composition is land natural radionuclides among which the dose of 222Rn is 1.2mSv/a. Therefore it is significant to measure the diurnal variation of indoor 222Rn concentration and air absorbed dose rate ofγirradiation from living-room where human activities are frequently carried out. With material structures, building materials, decoration, ventilation and other factors of living room changing, the concentration of 222Rn may vary. At the same time, the concentration of 222Rn will impact the indoor gamma absorbed dose. This paper aims at exploring rules of diurnal variation of 222Rn through conducting 222Rn of the typical houses 24 hours in succession. In addition, the indoor air absorbed dose rate ofγirradiation was measured and analyzed.
