Coal is the most important energy resource of China. Coal multi-generation system which combine coal pyrolysis, gasification and combustion to produce heat, electricity, gas and tar simutaneously, not only increase the value of coal resource than the use of direct combustion, but also can reduce the pollution of the environment. Semi-coke combustion is a focus and difficult in the multi-generation. In this paper, the basis combustion characteristics, pore structure, fluidized bed combustion characteristics of semi-coke produced in the multi-generation system were studied. The result can guide the industry design. The thesis first use thermal balance to investigate the impact of different factors on combustion characteristics of semi-coke. As the pyrolysis temperature, heating rate was increased, the semi-coke combustion performance deteriorate, while the increased pressure would help semi-coke combustion.Using nitrogen adsorption analysis and mercury analysis of a joint investigation of the pore structure characteristics of semi-coke, experiment result showed that semi-coke pore size distribution is very broad, multi-bore holes for cracks.Using a small CFB test bench burning semi-coke, experiment result showed that semi-coke in the test bed can be burned stably and efficiently. Less SO2 in semi-coke combustion flue gas and NOx generated. With the mixing fraction of semi-coke with coal increased, NOx generation in the flue gas decreased. However furnace combustion temperature and oxygen concentration would cause an increase in the amount of flue gas NOx generation.
