At present the Copper Fire Refining granule reductant LV automatic injection system has been applied successfully in JNMC company and Yunnan Copper Co., Ltd.This system implements automatic operation process with granule reductant and can achieve long-distance transmission and injection, with the feature of automatism, efficient, safe, environmentally friendly, intensive and low labour intensity.Due to the short exploitation period and lacking in theory research, at the same time the material characteristic of granule reductant pneumatic transmission and injection haven't been studied yet, there are several production problems such as feed choke, stuff. Thereby it is necessary to investigate the material characteristic of granule reductant and injection system.The purpose of this study is to make the Copper Fire Refining granule reductant LV automatic injection system operate more stably through the investigation of material characteristic of granule reductant and injection system. After optimization,the LV automatic injection system has been applied in Yunnan Copper Industry Co., Ltd. and Refining Factory.And then the system is used in Liang Shan's refining workshop with 100,000 ton production of anode copper.The experiment research topics include:(1) The study of granule reductant's particle size distribution, real density, packing density, flow characteristic, water content, moisture suction and repose angle.(2) Observing granule reductant's flow phenomena and mass flux under gravity condition in hoppers with different semicone angle. (3)Obtain the best method of size reduction of reductant production after researched the granularity of the product which were produced by hammer crusher,jaw crusher and roll crusher or compound crusher respectively.(4) Investigate the Copper Fire Refining granule reductant LV automatic injection system to meet the production demand and promote production.By analyzing emerging from the study:(1) Granule reductants conform to the lognormal distribution and the Rosin-Rammler distribution.fine reductants less than 0.075mm conform to the normal distribution. (2) When the hopper's semicone angle is 30°, the flow characteristic is good and the mass flux is greater under the condition that moisture content is between 4 and 6 per cent and the content of fine reductant less than 0.08mm is not more than 4 per cent. (3) When the content of fine reductant less than 0.08mm is 8 per cent and the moisture content arrives at 10 per cent, compression arch is formed in hoppers and block the flow. When the moisture content is 8 per cent and the less than 0.008mm fine reductant content reaches 10 per cent, bond adhesion arch is formed in hoppers and block the flow. In order to,ensure the reductant smooth delivery,when reductant production the moisture content should be less than 6 per cent. and the content of<0.08mm fine reductant should be less than 8 per cent. (4) According to compare the three different crusher method, composite crusher is best. When the axes rotation frequency of composite crusher is 679 r/min and the number of installed hammerhead is 11, the content of fine reductant less than 0.08mm is 6.88 per cent, and it is fit to transmission and injection. (5) Optimization of the Copper Fire Refining granule reductant LV automatic injection system:replace the pneumatic V-valve with pneumatic ball valve, the semicone angle of the cone of injection tank is 30°and increase discharge port diameter of injection tank, from the 100mm to 200mm. (6) After optimization, the reductant and LV automatic injection system used in Yunnan Copper Industry Co., Ltd.,the application results:reductant convey operate more smooth,the stationary running of equipment to further improve,the technical parameters achieve to the expected results.
