Qianyang City Space Characteristics Of Study

Qianyang ancient city, located in the junction of Hunan province and Guizhou province, is one of the best preserved Ming and Qing dynasties ancient cities. Qianyang ancient city has strong regional culture, characteristical spatial form and traditional architecture, known as "military town in upstream of South Chu ", "cultural center of Western Hunan", "Hunan-Guizhou border trade center". In this paper, under the guidance of related theories, comprehensively study the spatial characteristics of the ancient city and the formation mechanism by the analysis of historical development and current situation of the ancient city of Qianyang. Then on basis of this discussed how to Protect the ancient city and advance tourism.Paper were divided into six chapters, the first chapter is an introduction. It explained the concepts, described the causes of choosing Qianyang ancient city as the research object, introduced content areas, research methods and overview of researches at home and abroad, protection and development examples of the ancient city and other basic information.The second chapter described the basic overview of Qianyang ancient city, including location, natural environment, climate characteristics, Qianyang city's history, diverse local culture.Chapter two to Chapter five is the principal part of the paper. The third chapter mainly analyzed the linear space of Qianyang ancient city. In the paper, the material elements of space system of Qianyang ancient city which have a linear characteristic, parallel extension in the axis and latitude, and dynamic relationship,referred to as "linear" space. Specifically discussed two different forms of linear space-street space and water space, and analyzed the relationship between the two.Chapter fourth mainly analyzed the point space of Qianyang ancient city. Point space is some of the important nodes in the space or a specific point of the space in the space system elements of Qianyang ancient city. Point spaces include Water ports, bridges, streets nodes, squares, buildings and the surrounding environment and so on. They are closely linked with the development of Qianyang ancient city.The fifth chapter analyzed the overall space of Qianyang ancient city. By studying the morphological characteristics of the whole space of Qianyang ancient city -one ring, two axes, two hearts, analyzed the characteristics of the city center area, filled lot and the edge of the lot. Finally, using the basic principles of sociology, psychology, aesthetics and other disciplines, revealed the link and interaction between the psychological behavior and the space of the ancient city.ChapterⅥis a summary of Qianyang ancient city and some enlightenments on the protection and development of ancient city.In summary, from the geography, history, urban planning, architecture, cultural heritage protection perspective, the paper thoroughly analyzed the formation and evolution,the overall spatial pattern, street space, water space, point space of Qianyang ancient city, taped the value, characteristics and culture of Qianyang ancient city, in order to better protect and develop Qianyang ancient city.
