The semi-rigid composite steel frame-reinforced concrete infill wall structure(SRCW) is a new type of seismic structure with brilliant future of application, which combines advantages of the two types of structures of steel frame and shear force panel. But the structure system in the lateral force, the beams have a great tension, which have significant impact on the behavior of the connection. The behavior studying of steel beam-to-column four-angles connections under bending and axial tension have not been seen.Because studies on four-angles connections were very limited, cognition on the damage mechanism of this type of joints was rather inadequate. The studying of this paper is significant far theory and practice. This paper applies nonlinear (material, geometry and contact) finite element method to analyze the behaviors of four-angles connections under monotonic load.Contact elements are set between all contacted components. After verification of FEM, 65 species of 13 series are computed. To get the pure bending connection initial stiffness, the ultimate moment capacity and moment-rotation curve with the existing simplified theoretical values are compared to verify the applicability of the existing simplified formula.Based on finite element analysis results, the simplified calculation method of the initial stiffness, the ultimate moment capacity and the M-θcurve are proposed.Eventually, based on the work of this paper, some problems about this research worth to be studied are put forward afterward.
