With the vigorous development of the automobile industry, there is growing concern about traffic safety issues. As the puncture cased by lacking of tire pressure taking a large proportion of bad traffic accidents in the highway, how to prevent the burst has become a very important subject. Tire Pressure Monitoring System(TPMS) can realize the purpose of real-time monitoring of tire operating mode and alarming when it is in an abnormal condition. As a pre-alarm system, it can eliminate the potential safety hazard in the beginning,ensure traffic safety and reduce the tire puncture. Besides, TPMS also can improve car performance, reduce fuel consumption, extend tire service life and so on.Based on former experiences and according to some deficiencies, the design concept of the real-time tire monitor module grounded on ZigBee wireless network technology proposal is brought forward on some sufficient of Pressure-Sensor Based TPMS. Firstly, the significance of TPMS in the society and market and the importance of TPMS are depicted in the paper. At the same time, the features of ZigBee technology are introduced and its network with some advantages is elaborated, such as low consumption, low cost operation, high reliability and easily realization.Secondly, according to the technique index and function characteristic, the article introduces the basic theory of TPMS, proposes the overall design plan of system hardware. Appropriate protocols of star-network realization and low power management of the system are propounded in the article. Then, for practical application, some improvements are made on power design of the system's software and hardware. Real-time wake-up in unusual condition would be integrated with regular wake-up in usual condition, which could reduce the send number of times and power of the monitoring module in the software. Low-power design in hardware is the selection of high degree of integration of low-power chip, CC2430, and SP12 to reduce the number of components and simplify circuit. The interference of the system is made further improvement. The direct-sequence spread-spectrum technology and signal collision avoidance system of ZigBee and rational design of PCB are used to the interference immunity of system. Compared to existing TPMS design, the improved design makes the system smaller, the circuit more simplified, less energy and longer service life while improving the system stability. Positioning technology uses a reliable, convenient and low-cost positioning technology. ZigBee binding mechanism is introduced, which can automatically update the binding list to achieve automatic positioning function after tire-change maintenance. The article analyses and designs the electric circuits of the tire and the host module. Correspondingly, the PCBs of two modules are fulfilled. The data communications between the tire module and the host module obeys the ZigBee wireless communication protocol.For the software function of the system, the thesis realizes the signal sampling and sending function for the tire module. As to the host module, the signal receiving, storing and displaying parts are completed. At last, the power analysis of the tire module is made, which shows that the low power design is satisfied.
