Passenger And Freight Transport Time Value Research

Through discussing the theory about time value, this paper makes definite meanings of value time savings of passengers and goods respectively, puts forward two important sides concerning value of travel time savings behavioral value and resource value of time. To behavioral value of time, the paper debates two methods of constructing model for passengers?behavioral analysis and the maximum likelihood calibration method. On this foundation, the paper brings forward a method of simplifying model and its technique for data investigating and processing. After choosing the methods of computing resource value of time, methods of deciding value of leisure time and coefficient of time using are mainly studied. On the basis of shipper抯 揺conomical man?supposition and analysis of shipper抯 choice behavior, the paper seeks methods for determination of time value for goods in transit through comparing opportunity cost with benefit about time change.
