Time is money and effectiveness in modern society, freight transit period is the key factor of consignors to choose the transport modes, and some freight transports have become the first choice factor. Therefore, the various modes of transport in the highly competitive conditions, how to improve the protection rate of freight transit period and the speed of delivery in railway to maintain its market share will be the key elements of raising its competitiveness.First, the paper analyzes arrival time from the freight transportation process, takes the distribution function of transfer time with resorting in the technique station for an example, and given that other distribution functions of each link working times. According to it, the distribution function of arrival time can be obtained. The protection rate of freight transit period based on regulations relating to railway goods report can be also counted, and it can be assigned to each link working by definite ratios to get the protection rate of each link working. Thereafter, it analyzes the freight transportation process of the Guangzhou-Baoding as an example. Finally, it also presents and establishes the relevant measures and methods on the protection rate of each link working and freight transit period, meanwhile puts forward the assessment approach based on the freight transit period.This paper identifies and analyzes problems from a lot of statistics, and advances the corresponding solutions. The paper has referring significances to organize the freight transport optimization and increase its market competitiveness.
