This paper mainly studies the intensity and distortion characteristics of thewet-connected envelop angle iron colurmn which is under axial compression during thedifferent stress level and probes into the calculational method of reliability afterreinforcement.l. We do the experimental investigation of the axial-compression reinforced concre-te column;2. We experiment on the We-connected envelop angle iron colunm which is underaxial compression during the different stress level, such as 0,l00KN,l50KN,200KN,250KN, after reinforcement.3. We also-do ule control experiment with the different area of angle iron crosssection and the different distance of gusset plate.The research shows that the carrying capacity of the envelop angle iron columnwhich is under axial compression is markedly higher than the original column, the stresslevel and the size of angle iron have ceftain effect on the ultimate bearing resistance ofreinforced column, the ultimate bearing resistance after reinforcement drops down as thestress level ircreases and it increases as the area of angle iron cross section increases.Finally, the paper puts forward the applied calculating formulas, and studies thereliability analysis of axial-compression column after reinforcement. The results canaccurately reflect the changing characteristics of the carrying capacity of thosewet-connected envelop angle iron reinforced column which bear certain histories.
