With the developing of Modernize of industry at top speed,the buyer market is getting stronger day by day, so that the function and structure of product ,the renew and replace of product periodical are forced to getting better. Design is the soul of the product. Accepting the Modernize method of design; improving the ability of bring forth new ideas on product;spreading and applying the 3D CAD system, we must do our best to realize the CAD on product, including integraed CAD/CAE/CAM, virtual manufacture, prarllel engineering, optimum design and intelligent etc. The quality of design can be improved, the construction cycle can be curtained. At the same time, the characteristic is directed against the product of the enterprise, the design experience, the design method and the design staixlard on the product is reflected on the special CAD software system, we can take advantage of them to reaserch the special CAD system for applying software.he Optimum Design of the Gear System based on the Feature Parametric?is used to the MB1O6K 600mm single surface press-planing machine made in Luoyang Machine Tool Plant. Taking the gear of the deceleration mechine for example, we study the single-stage cylinder gear by using the method of reliability optimum design, the export resurt is inputed to the dialogue frame as a feature-based parameter, then producting the 3D solid model. The CAD system not only improve the quality of the product, but also lay a fundation for the assembly design, kinematics, kinetics emulate, function analysis, optimization and Numerical control processing.The CAD system is developed upon AutoCAD software platform by using VBA. The drawing is layouted intelligent, the gear outline is shaped automatically, the graphics library is built by using AutoLisp. In this way, it is convinent not only for management but also for shorten time.On trail, he Optimum Design of the Gear System based on the Feature Parametric?is the integration of the optimum design and the feature-based paramatric modeling, is good for improving the quality of product and shorten the time of product design.
