Today the economic globalization, humans don’t want financial crisis to happen."The US Subprime Mortgage Crisis"7years ago, also let people’s heart still flutteringwith fear. However, in the financial crisis the smallest affected is the manufacturingindustry, once was considered a "sunset industry", after the baptism of the financialcrisis people to re-examine the strong industry veteran. People begin to realize torapidly develop manufacturing after the financial crisis.And today’s manufacturing industry, especially the machinery manufacturingindustry, on the one hand to meet the market demand, on the other hand to ensure thequality of products and improve the market competitiveness, this needs with advancedtechnology to support, so in each part of mechanical product development, design,manufacture and assembly is used all kinds of CAD softwares. The CAD softwaresnot only guarantee the quality of the products but also can meet the demand ofmodern rapid development. Machinery production processes of modeling andassembly by using the softwares to improve the competitiveness of their products.This paper make a study of the UG (Unigraphics NX) apply in the gear pumpparametric modeling and Virtools apply in the gear pump virtual assembly.This subject as the model of the cylindrical gear pump an example, then make adepth study of the gear pump design parameters and virtual assembly.The paper basedon a powerful three-dimensional software UG as a development platform, and make adepth study of the parameters of the design and method of secondary development, itused secondary development tools of UG such as UG/Open Grip and Visual C++,achieve the cylindrical spur gear shaft of gear pump3D parametric modeling anddesign of the cylindrical spur gear shaft ’s parametric design system. Upon completionof the three-dimensional model of worm, you can create three-dimensional model ofthe other parts, and complete virtual Pump assembly, the gear shaft transmission forinterference analysis. Then, we put three-dimensional model of the Pump whatcreated in the UG into3Ds Max rendering optimized, and finally developed virtualassembly system of pump based on virtools platform.In the software of UG, we achieve the parameters of cylindrical spur gear shaftdesign, so you can quickly and accurately generate the required three-dimensionalmodel, and completed all parts of the modeling and Pump assembly. And in softwareof virtools to cylindrical spur gear pump for the study, in-depth study achieve a virtualfixture assembly. Then, we using the switching of the view, we make the assemblyprocess is real and clear,it also can use for assembly teaching.
