Stability of composite beam web is a very important problem in steel struturedesign. Former studise generally applied energy methods to anaiyze buckling ofbeam web based on theory of elastic stability, and most of them didn't considerelastic-plastic buckling behavior of beam web. However,in practice elastic-plasticbucking of beam web probably occurred under combined stresses, so this paperadopted finite element method to analyze and study elastic-plastic buckling ofbeam web under pure bending and partial edge loadin in details. The influence ofvarious geometric parameters(highness-to-thickness b/t, width-to-highness a/b)and the distributed range of partial edge loading on elastic-plastic bucklingbehavior of beam web are considered. And the proper modified formula isproposed at the end of this paper. |
