Test research and theoretic study on shear strengthening of reinforced concrete restrained beams using externally applied carbon fabrics reinforced plastics under concentrated loads is presented in this thesis, which is part of the project of construction bureau of Hunan province.Several strengthening methods are reviewed and the strengthening method of using externally applied carbon fabrics reinforced plastics is introduced in detail.In addition, the material properties and loading characteristics of reinforced concrete structure strengthened by CFRP are studied systematically. And. the test research on the restrained beams strengthened by epoxy-glued CFRP which is glued in term of different angle is presented. Based on the test of shear strengthening by CFRP-bonded, qt.ality control standards of the design and construction is established.Thea, aimed at different situation and with the combination of the compatibility truss theory and limited balance principle and the truss-strut model, the shear strengthening theoretic formula for the beams under concentrated load is put forward. Ground on the test data and real engineering, the simple design formula is afforded.Finally, based on the experiments and combined with the situations which are often suffered in reality, the construction technics and quality control standards are advised and several construction methods are put forward.
