Spread Spectrum Technology In The Power Line Carrier Communication

This article briefly described the basic principle of spread spectrum communication and discussed the advantage, disadvantage and the current state of the power line communication. The advantage, method and current state of using spread spectrum technique in power line communication are discussed. Then the characteristic of low voltage power network was also analyzed. On above bases, a low voltage power line SSC system which is composed of asinglechip computer 80C196KB, PL2000 is designed. This article described the hardware and software of the system. Finally the experimentation showed the low voltage power line SSC system is feasible.
