Due to rigorous environment and difficult maintenance, aerospace computers must have high performance. At the same time, with the development of our country's spaceflight engineering, we desire space computers' higher capability of data management. The status quo of aerospace computers in our country is that uniprocessor computers are very weak in data management and can't be reconfigured, and software is difficult to be maintained. So it is necessary to develop a kind of space computer which has high performance, reliability and reconfigurability.After having investigated correlated external up-to-date information earnestly and thoroughly, we have developed a single-board computer which is high performance, reliable and reconfigurable, according to international experience and advance technology, combined with internal facts. 386EX CPU of Intel is the core of the hardware and VxWorks of WindRiver is the core of the software. 1553B Bus is the external interface in this computer. Beginning with indagation and choosing of parts, we have achieved its theory project, schematics, PCB drawings, hardware debugging and replantation of Real Time Operating System (RTOS) . What's more, we have farther ameliorated this computer on the base of the above, and made stability groundwork for the final applications of subsequent spaceflight projects.After being more consummated, the fruits of this project can be straightly applied to manned spacecraft, space scientific exploration, networks of satellites and so on. They will certainly improve the reliability, reconfigurability and OBSM (On-Board Software Maintenance) of on-board computers, which is most significant to the development of our country's space science and technology.
