A design method of integrated flight/propulsion control(IFPC) optimization computer based on Digital Signal Processor (DSP) and Control Area Network (CAN) bus is presented . Optimization computer trims the engine control inputs based on the input information from the aircraft and engine, which offers significant performance improvements of the propulsion. Hardware architecture and software realization of the optimization computer are discussed and implemented. RTOS μC / OS - II is ported to optimization computer to improve real-time controlling and enhance stability .Hardware-in-Loop simulating system of IFPC is built to research the Digital simulations, which are conducted with two optimization modes: maximum thrust mode and minimum fuel consumption mode. Simulation results presented here demonstrate that during accelerating flight at constant altitude thrust increases up to approximately 12 percent in the maximum thrust mode, and at subsonic cruise specific fuel consumption decreases up to 2 percent in the minimum fuel consumption mode. This optimization computer has implication for improving performance of military aircraft.
