Construct Of China's Small Towns Settlements Place To Live

Under the promotion of development of small town, urbanization becomes a prominent characteristic in the process of modernization in China, especially after reform and open. From the proposition: "Small town, big problem" put forward by Fei Xiao tong to the idea: "The development of small town is ' the big great strategy' to rural economy and social development, pointed out by Jiang Zemin at present, all above-mentioned illustrate the importance and emergency on the reconstruction of small town in China.Contrast to the research in the field of urban residential areas and environment, scholars in China pay a few attentions at the study in the domain of rural residential areas and environment in small town. Even though someone also put emphasis on the aspect of aesthetic analyses of landscape and vision, it is not enough to make the search on the multilayered demand of small town residential areas, which is regarded as the use subject of small town residential areas and environment.In this dissertation, the use subject of small town residential areas and environment is viewed as the origin of residential environment, and in author' s idea, residential areas and environment has to satisfy not only human' s physiological requirement, but also psychological, social and emotional needs, especially in order to construct a delightful living place. For the reason, author puts forward the concept: "living place" and looks its construction as the nature of residential areas and environment.Author puts forward that living place is the essence of residential areas and environment, and, on the basis of the analyzed basic features of living place, puts forward four characteristics as the main points in the essay, by which the construction of using living place of residential areas should abide: subjectivity, space-time, level, and interdynamics. Under the background of small town, author gives a specific analysis to the four characteristics, similarly poses basic design technique, and thus solves the practical operating problem during the construction of living place.Finally, under the theoretical guidance of construction of living place in small town, author makes an intentional planning design on the residential areas of the Open Economic Zone in WangCun, western region of Hunan province, as a result makes a certain research for the practical application of the theory.
