This dissertation is based on the work of "Analysis and Research on Key Parts of Diesel Combustion Engine Stiffness and Intensity Its CAE Property " of Yunnan Province Science Youth Experts Fund. Based on the I-DEAS software, finite element models of 3100QB diesel engine block were established. Finite element free modal analysis, constrained modal analysis and computer aided engineer analysis about intensity were done.By time domain modal parameters identification way, constrained modal experiment of 3100QB block was done. The modal parameters were identified according to outputting impulse response signal. Then constrained modal analyzed depending on finite element theory was compared with the modal of applying tested experiment method. The finite modals are reasonable as the results show.The first 25 modes of free modals and constrained modals were calculated depending finite element theory .Vibrational figure rules of free modal and constrained modal of block were summed up. The vibration of block can be balanced by the studying the vibrational figure. The advanced tight, first cylinder bursting out and second cylinder bursting were analyzed by CAE. Stiffness design of 3100QB block is reasonable according to the results. It is the foundation of optimizing designs of block.
