This paper has researched high frequency solid induction heating power supply. In the first chapter, it has introduced the history and basic knowledge of induction heating, and the development of power electronic devices are also introduced.In the second chapter, it has analyzed the two main topologies that are often used in induction heating power supply, and analyzed power regulating methods of induction heating supply, and has drawn a conclusion that if power is regulated in the rectifier, then it will be easy to enhance power capacity and enable the power supply to work on higher frequency. The basic principals of the resonant tank are also analyzed in this chapter.The molds of passive elements are analyzed in the third chapter. After the analysis it has got the guide during the selection of passive elements, and also got the guide of the layout of the inverter. An inverter prototype is given in this chapter. Load matching transformer and resonant capacitor are also discussed in chapter three.The electrical design of the whole power supply is given in chapter four. The control diagram of rectifier, inverter, and inverter driver and protection circuit are all given here. The simulation and experimental waveforms are also given in this chapter.In the last chapter, it has preliminary analyzed the rating expansion of induction heating supply. The series and parallel connections of power electronic devices are discussed here. The inverter and machine series and parallel connections are discussed. A topology that is very suit for series resonant induction heating power supply using matching transformer is given.
