This paper is about SL1126 diesel internal-combustion engine's cylinder body part structure optimization and process design of mechanical machining (yield:30000/peryear). For the product will be put into production soon. So, the study is focal on accrual product. The paper carries on detailed discuss for the study.Body's structure optimization's simulation and machining process are the two part of the paper. For the former prototype is based on experience design and sand-cast and found are both done by hand. Obliviously, Optimization for the body structure is needed. During the analysis, where the software Designspace is used to do stress and performances analyze, the nessesarity and feasibility of the optimization is proofed in theory . As to Solidworks has very strong 3-D modeling capability, especially it can exchange data directly with Desgnspace through DWG format engineering drawings, With this priority, Solidworks is deployed .To make sure the optimization's reasonability and feasibility, the constructed modified model is re-analyzed by Designspace.Aiming at producing the optimized diesel body, considering the yield plan and diesel body's special structure, an integrated machining process, including process route ,the choice of the cutter and power .location of the machine tool, is worked out.Considering the body's structure is complicated and has direct influence in the integrated performance and cost. To ensure the shorter route and better economity, best of the feasible schemes are chosed. To conclusion, the paper fully completes the body's structure optimization and the basic product line design. By the end of paper, valuable Advice and improvement is accessable.
