In this paper, the plane double enveloping worm (PDEW) has been researched. The motion equations have been built of it. The states of motions and victories and forces of the worm engaging point were been analysis. The motions and forces of the worm engaging point have been initiate by the program with Matlab. The 3D motions of plane double enveloping worm has been emulated with Solidege and Flash.The model of fuzzy optimization design of plane double enveloping worm has been built by fuzzy theory and the methods of mechanical design. Its program has been completed with Visual Basic (6.0). The object functions of fuzzy optimization design were the maximums transmission efficiency and the minimum volume of its construction and their weighted object function of them. The keep with bounds were included the contacting strength and winding strength and deforming strength and the sizes of constructions of PDEW. The keep with bounds were be fuzzy by the method of oblige line. This program not only has been used to optimization the PDEW but also could used to control the fuzzy factor that could change the strength of fuzzy. When the fuzzy factor equal to one, the fuzzy optimization program could change to a general optimization program. This program has been tested and verified by an example. The result indicates that this program is safe and reliable for PDEW fuzzy optimization.The researching in this paper has been obtained some worth in fuzzy optimization design and motions of PDEW.
