Considering the underwater gun as the object under test, the integration of VXI bus test system is studied in this paper. The software and hardware of the multi parameter test system were developed, and verified by experiments at last. The test system can deal with the data and give the test result at the same time. All of them show that this test system is a platform with excellent performance.The model of IVI (Interchangeable Virtual Instrument) driver is studied, and its some important merits are discussed in this paper. The steps of the design of IVI driver are also given by the example of how to design the driver of DM2002 strain gauge used in this test system.How to guarantee the modularization and the opening of the VXI bus test system software is another issue in this paper, it is studied from the aspect of the software architecture. The old software architecture is improved, and a new kind of software architecture used for developing VXI bus test software is put forward based on DCOM (Distributed Component Object Model) technology. The new software architecture can be used for reference in the development of more sophisticated VXI bus test system.
