High Voltage Power Grid Protection Device Fault Simulation System

This paper is point to the practical relay protection work of provincial power system analyses the feature of the data management in relay protection work and conceives the idea of using the relational database technique to realize the effective data management. Based on the principle of the relay protection ,this paper employ the computer digital simulation technique to simulate the action of the protective relay during the faults in power systems .The aim is to check the setting of the protective relaysThis paper develops a protective relay data management and simulation system .The system includes several subsystem: 1) the data management system realizes the data management; 2) the simulation system simulates the protective relay action during the faults in power systems to check the setting of protective relays; 3) a painting software is used to provide the graphical interface for the simulation system.The system of this paper has been proved to meet the needs of protective relay engineer working in provincial power system.
