This article is mainly on developing a new metal incendiary agent with high energy, which can efficiently sets fire to the wooden ammunition chests. By the present model of setting fire to the wooden ammunition chests, we confirm the condition in which the effective arson can take place, and we also simulate the arson process. The magnesium alloy is considered as this metal incendiary agent. Changing the components of the traditional magnesium alloy, we find a new magnesium alloy, which can set fire to the wooden ammunition chests more effectively. For the purpose of setting fire to the wooden ammunition chests efficiently, we research on the incendiary-igniting agent and select a good composition. Taking it into account that this metal incendiary agent will be applied to the firebomb of PL96 122mm howitzer, the parameters (such as shape, size etc.) of the burning torch are also researched through experiments. It is concluded that the metal incendiary agent composed of the new magnesium alloy accord with the entire required target.
