Loess Area Highway Roadbed Disease And Its Control Strategies

The loess widely distributes in many parts of our country. As the loess has a lot of special construction properties, there are many highway diseases frequently-occurring in these areas, which is hard to guard against. The author in this paper, at first, analyzes the construction properties of the loess coupled with the influencing factors. In addition, the author studies the subgrade diseases in the loess area as well as their relevant technology of preventing and treating. including the main body of the subgrade, protecting and supporting engineering. drainage equipment of road, culvert and the transition zone between the road and the bridge. Through investigating the types of diseases, the author discusses the existing problems and causes of producing diseases, puts forward the protective measures in design and construction, and raises the treatment measures in highway maintenance, which makes it more scientific and perfect for highway construction and maintenance in the loess areas.
