Loess area of northern shaanxi province has unique topography and geomorphology, geology and climatic conditions,is the multiple regions of highways being destroyed by flood, great economic losses are brought about by highways being destroyed by flood each year.The possibility of highways being destroyed by flood can be reduced by setting reasonable subgrade drainage system,for a variety of reasons,there are many unreasonable calculations of available subgrade drainage system,can’t meet the need of drainage in this area.The research on drainage technology of high-grade highways in loess area of northern Shaanxi province has the vital significance,the rationality of subgrade drainage system can be improved,the fuction of subgrade drainage system can be well played,the possibility of highways being destroyed by flood can be reduced,the service life of the highway can be extended.On the basis of the summary of the domestic and overseas study on highway drainage technology,by means of consulting information and field research,the characteristics of geological environment and climate in loess area of northern Shaanxi province were summarized and analyzed,the influence on subgrade drainage system of these characteristics were also summarized and analyzed.On the basis of the subgrade drainage system of S302,S206 and G307 in Yulin,Shaanxi province,field research were carried out,the exsiting problem and the reason of ditch,chute,catchwater and culvert were summarized and analyzed.Evaluation model of subgrade drainage system were established based on fuzzy mathematics,and the rationality of the model was verified by living example.Based on the above study,the characteristics of losses area of northern Shaanxi province and the theory of drainage design were combined,the principles,procedure,content and key points of drainage design which are suit for losses area of northern Shaanxi province were summarized and analyzed,technical guidance for drainage design of losses area of northern Shaanxi province can be provide by these.A method of drainage standardized design was put forword,by means of calculation,size chart that is suit for slope drainage in losses area of northern Shaanxi province was obtained, under the circumstances of the length of slope runoff and catchment area are known,by means of checking size chart,the size of the drainage can be obtained,the randomness and the workload of drainage design can be reduced.On the strength of the importance of drainage in losses area of northern Shaanxi province,by means of studying,in losses area of northern Shaanxi province,the data collecting should be taken seriously during the survey phase,the design thinking should be changed during design phase,the quality control should be stringent during construct phase,the input should be increased during maintaince phase,the countermeasures that can improve the function and reduce the disease of the subgrade drainage system should be carried out during all phase were discussed detailedly.
