Stretch bending is a process of considerable importance for plastic bending and is widely applied to forming the workpieces of aircraft and car. Many methods are suggested for analyzing it. Among them numerical simulation is the most prospective one, by means of which we can obtain how different parameters influence the process as well as final shape of the product systematically. So the paper is aimed at investigating stretch bending by numerical simulation. The following are the major works in the paper.1. The paper summarizes the recent researches about stretch bending and analyzes the forming mechanism of it qualitatively.2. A finite element model is founded according to the Norwegian scholar's test and simulation. Basing on this model two different springback simulation methods are compared in precision and efficiency.3. This paper presents an analysis model for rotary draw bending with tensile force. By using this model springback evaluation and how material models influence springback simulation are studied.
