Virtual instruments (VI) is the combination of the computer and traditional instruments. In 21st century, VI is one hostpot of research and application in the domain of measurement and control. During the rapid development of virtual measuring technology, VI is one of the perfect scheme to resolve the application of measurement and control.Our project is to measure performance parameters of an aeroplane power system. In this paper, I try to build a virtual instrument based PC to meet the need of this project. Firstly, the paper introduce the idea of VI and VI's application platform -Labview. In this part, the paper also describe the graphic program language. Secondly, I draw a subject scheme of hardware and software after the analysis to project. Thirdly, I describe the hardware design which include the Simultaneously sampling multi-function card-DAQ2010 in detail. This part includes the hardware frame , components choice and principle of singnal conditioning card and DAQ-2010. At last, the paper introduce the software design which include the soft frame and program flow. In this part, I describe each of the function module individually in detail and finally lay out the outcome of practical measurement to an aeroplane power system.
