This paper presents and studies a new type of bridge- RC-masonry combination arch bridge Based on the development of studying the high strength masonry. RC-masonry combination arch bridge makes RC arch ribs as former spanning structure and falsework of upper masonry's construction. Finally, reinforced concrete and masonry together form arch ring. RC-masonry combination arch bridge abandons the disadvantages of conventional masonry arch bridge's falsework type construction, which makes longer construction time, higher cost and against protecting environment. Compared with double arch bridge, it has better arch ring's integer and smaller distortion in the stage of use.In virtue of finite element program, this paper calculates the model of RC-masonry combination arch bridge in the stages of construction and use in this paper. Based on these data, it analyzes the structure behavior of the reinforced concrete arch ribs and the masonry arch ribs using methods of inner force and stress. It briefly introduces the methods of designing and checking of this span-self arch bridge in construction and use stages.
