With the rapid development of the construction of hydropower stations in our country, many huge or medium stations have been under construction or put in run, outer deformation monitoring for stations is very important for the safety of stations. For now the researches of observation instruments for outer deformation monitoring and the theory of data processing are coming forth increasingly. This lecture introduces the common methods for outer deformation monitoring and data processing used in stations, because of the importance of control net, emphases on the adjustment models of outer deformation monitoring control net (ODMCN) and the method and application of statistics hypothesis testing. The author wrote the soft according to the theory and processed observation data of ODMCN of Dachaoshan hydropower station, and conducted some test with simulate data.This lecture sums up the theory gist and testing methods of statistic hypothesis testing by different adjustment models for the many periods repeat observations of ODMCN for stations, which have reference value for the design of ODMCN.Though the processing of the some kinds of important and classic outer deformation data in stations, the theory and correct soft promoting the strictness and precision of the calculated results, and can be used widely in other stations.
