Crankshaft is one of the key parts in engine, its performance will have a great effect on the engine. As a project registered by Nanjing Auto Corp., the crankshaft structure and process character of SEAT engine were analyzed detailedly in this dissertation. From analyzing crankshaft structure, by CATIA software, the 3D models of 1.5L and 1.7L engines were set up, and by using the analyzing software ANSYS, their static and dynamic performance were analyzed too. In order to optimize crankshaft process performance, according to the present process capability and level, the operating process methods were described, the effects of process methods and course to crankshaft performance were discussed as well, for example, surface strengthen, quenching and rolling. As a emphases, the effective control of induction heat treatment was analyzed in the dissertation.In order to validate the process feasibility and theoretic correctness, fatigue performance test was done. In conclusion, the rationality of process and theoretic methods was confirmed at last.
