Highway Gis Dynamic Segmentation

Highway, as the linear facility existing extensively on the earth, is the main artery on which the society runs, and plays a very important role in the social development. The research of the linear characteristic of the highway has been concerning the facility management of the highway all the time. How better to study the linear characteristic of the highway plays a key role in the function of the highway.This paper briefly reviews the development course of the geographical information system, emphatically explains the ComGIS, which is the development trend of GIS, proposes the framework of the geographical information system of the highway, and carries out the design of the highway database. According to the highway actual conditions of management, adopting highway mileage and earth coordinate, using dynamic segmentation technique, this paper realizes the mutual conversion of two kinds orientation datum of the highway, offering the great flexibility for data update, thus solving the key problem in developing the small-scale and medium highway GIS, creating the facility of the popularization and development of the highway GIS.The groundwork of this paper is divided into the following several respects:1. Having followed the front of GIS, pointing out that ComGIS is one important developing direction of GIS. Expounding component technique based on Component Object Model(COM) and ComGIS, the MapX component of Maplnfo serving as basic platform of GIS.Fourthly,the soft hardware disposition of the highway GIS.2. Describing the framework of the highway GIS in detail: Firstly, the history and current situation of the highway GIS; Secondly, the framework of the highway GIS; Thirdly, the content and function of the highway GIS; Fourthly,the soft hardware disposition of the highway GIS.3. Designing the database of the highway GIS as follows: Firstly, the structure of GIS database; Secondly, the characteristic of the highway GIS database anddesign principle; Thirdly, the design of the highway GIS database.4. The dynamic segmentation being carried out surrounding the generation, the technological route, the route system model and the implementation method of the dynamic segmentation.
