As the new technology penetrates into the realm of Construction Machinery and the vibratory compaction theory slowly has been perfected the new compaction technology and the advanced control technology have been applied to the roller. The research and development of intelligent vibratory roller just is a typical example.In this paper, firstly, through analyzing and discussing current development and trend of compaction technology and vibratory roller the paper introduces the idea of intelligent vibratory roller. Secondly, the whole principle of the control system is presented .After that, the emphasis is placed on the design of the system on frequency modulation and traveling control . According to the demands of control system, a plan is put forward and the components are chosen . On this basis , the paper sets up the complete mathematical model of dynamic characteristics for the whole system, and carries out the simulation and analysis of dynamic characteristics through the simulating model set up by Matlab software. Lastly, the paper designs the telecommunications system for intelligent vibratory roller and develops a software for managing the vibratory parameters.
