Adopting the methods of theory analysis and experiment study, this paper optimizedthe work parameters of the double frequency vibrating roller, did the numerical simulation of the compacting process, and established the basis for the industrial applicati on of the multi-frequency vibrating compaction theory and methods. This paper did farther experiment study of swing and phase angle of the double frequency vibrating roller, and got the preferable value of frequency, swing and phase angle. Through the test of compaction degree, speed and power and the analysis to the acceleration signal and the press signal, the character of the roller was whollyexamined and compared with the single frequency vibrating roller. On the basis of experiment and study, the mathematic model of" roller-soil" was established, and the compacting process was simulated and analyzed by MATLAB software. The simulating effect was consistent with the experiment effect, which proved that themathematic model was basically correct. This conclusion established the basis of the analysis and optimization of the roller. The experiment study proved that the workcapacity of this roller is stable, and energy consumption of unit throughput is less. Moreover, the work efficiency of this roller is higher.
