As the representative type used in long span bridge, suspension bridge's geometry is sensitive to the temperature. In order to meet the actual status under construction and service to the ideal status, the temperature effect should be considered as sensitive factor and must be modified.This paper takes LanCang Jiang suspension bridge as the background project and does researches on the main cable construction under temperature effect. Firstly, Combined with the actual construction condition and the bridge's structural characters, the temperature measurement scheme of tower , catwalk and main cable is given. Then through the study on the calculation method for temperature control of suspension bridge, the solution of temperature load is known as the key to solve the temperature effect, to which the site measurement of structural temperature field is essential.In the temperature control scheme, the main tower's temperature is measured and analyzed several times for 24 hours one whole day, the solution for the center temperature and the solution for the worst-case temperature gradient along tower cross-section and altitude are calculated and regressed, and the regression empirical formula is put forward based on limited temperature data, which can be used as a new method to calculate the temperature gradient distribution of any section in bridge tower. Finally, considering the existing atmosphere filed data, the temperature effect of main cable under construction is pre-analyzed.The researches in this paper are applied in the construction control of LanCang Jiang suspension bridge, which is under construction now. The method put forward in this paper and the pre-analyzing results can be used as reference to the actual construction.
