Urban Road Turn Left Traffic Organization

This thesis mainly concerns with using a systemic method to study theleft-turning traffic forbiddance system characteristics, categories and implementation requirements, and curries out the analysis of the advantages when using left-turning traffic forbid system on traffic engineering science. Then, it investigates the most effective evaluation index of left-turning traffic forbiddance system, discusses of two cases a section of a road and an intersection, separately. Finally, the Analytical Hierarchy Process is applied to determine the weight of each evaluation index, and then to create the comprehensive evaluation model.The efficiency and superiority of left-turning traffic forbiddance system has been proved through application in the examples on the traffic analysis before and after using left-turning traffic forbiddance system.
