This paper makes a study about kinematic parameter and testing method of fiber-optic spool for fiber-optical-guided-missile(FOG-M). The tensile force measure was developed to investigate the tensile force parameters of high-speed payout. This paper analyes the structure character of fiber-optic spool, the kinematic attitudes of payout optical fiber cables for wind with different lengths and different cone-shaped angles have been measured on a ground simulation system of missile payout, which are under the condition of payout velocity of 240 m/s. The friction coefficient between payout fiber cables and static cables has been tested in static state. What' s more, another testing set was developed to investigate the tensile force parameters and the experiment had been made, which shows the tensile force vs. time curve of payout fiber cables in the ground simulation experiment. The structure of fiber-optic spool is optimized through analy of the experimental results, theoretic calculation and analysis were carried out aiming to know how the wind force influences the payout velocity in the process of payout. Furthermore, the distribution function about curvature radius of payout cable was obtained combining with the kinematics model of optical fiber cable in FOG-M; Kinetic differential equation was constructed for payout fiber cables, which built a solid basis for the numerical calculation in next period. The study achievement already be applied to designation and examination of protype products, excellent effect come into being.
