This thesis aims to study some key technologies in modeling and processing the undercarriage, combining the development of the CAD/CAM special system in the undercarriage of a certain important military aircraft. Adopting the main key technologies including feature-based modeling, optimization of cutting parameters, layout of the cutters tracks etc. is useful to improve the efficiency, quality and intelligent level in modeling and processing the undercarriage.The research in this thesis is composed of the three following parts: (1) Modeling the parameterized features of landing gear's interconnection joint: The interconnection joint is classified in terms of different features, which is one of the significant parts composing the undercarriage; and the modeling theory and feature-based modeling technology of UG are studied. The parameterized features modeling of interconnection joint is studied by virtue of UDF manner and programming so as to build the interconnection joint feature-based library drove by the parameterized size, thereby realizing the parameterized design and improving the designing efficiency of interconnection joint.(2) Optimizing the cutting quantity of numerical control processing: The numerical model of the optimizing object is established. Since the genetic algorithm possesses many advantages such as strong ability of searching overall situation and strong commonability, the thesis deeply studies the application of genetic algorithm in optimizing the cutting quantity, and achieves good result.(3) Calculating the undercarriage cutters tracks formed in the numerical control processing: The advanced equal rudimental height method is adopted to probe into a reasonable numerical control processing method of undercarriage; and the annular cutter is used to calculate the tracks in the contacting point and data of the cutter. Meanwhile the calculating method of the cutter data is put forward in the thesis so as to prepare for the further theoretical discussion of effective processing the undercarriage.
