The method of characteristic theory with Tailor-Make model are presented. By this method, we calculate the flowfield from the shock to the object surface. Based on the calculation, two waverider configurations with inlet are designed. The first waverider we presented has three attached Shockwave at design point and the second waverider as a compared configuration has an attached Shockwave and two plant Shockwave at design point. Optimized calculation are joined into commercial CFD software. For requirement of inlet, the waverider configuration are optimized. The flowfield of optimized waverider are calculated at off design points(Ma, attack angle). Waverider performance at different flight conditions are researched. Calculation shows that the first waverider performance are improved compared the second waverider. The flux coefficient is increased 15.38%. The total recovery pressure coefficient is increased 7%. The flow equality at inlet section is increased 8.8%.The optimized result indicated that total recovery pressure coefficient of waverider increase 4.55% than original model. The flow equality increase 7.6% . The flux coefficient increase 6.8%, and the inlet Ma reduce 7.7%. But the thickness of boundary layer increase 0.5%.The optimized result also indicate that the flow at range of design point(Ma =4.0 to 6.0)have good Shockwave attached performance. The waverider configuration has larger range for attached Shockwave at high Ma conditions than it at lower Ma conditions. So the design Ma of waverider should be smaller than the flight Ma. Waverider performanceis changed greatly with attack angle change, and the waverider performance is better on-design than on minus attack angle and greaterattack angle. Plus attack angle should be chosen by waverider designer.
