| ' Mechanical drafting ' is a technologic primary course under some speciality relevant to engineering technology. During drafting teaching process, two major issues were spotted. One is some parts are too difficult to understand and some have little help to enhance vocational ability. Two is students' lack of spatial imagination ability. They have difficulty to connect two-dimension shapes with three-dimension shapes. So this course is hard to them. Based on the above two points the writer started to try to reform the course.Guided by the 'Job market orientated Teaching System' designed by Beijing Electronic Industry School and based on the result of students' questionnaire, this subject conducted reform to 'Mechanical drafting' on following five sides.1, Changed the original structure of the course. Students started to learn from 'Solid' instead of from 'dot, line and surface' to comply with the regular pattern of cognition.2, Implement the guiding ideology of stressing on drafting reading.3, Delete the 'Cross Line' seldom used in reality.4, Properly add more material on ' Mechanical Technology '.5, To break through the difficulties in teaching, introduced 'Inquiry-based learning'.According to the real job condition, properly applied multi-media and 'Real material processing method' to improve students' ability of spatial imagination and develop their project consciousness. engineering.This subject applied pre-experiment research method, conducted reform in a sample class. After a whole term implementation, the writer got following conclusion.1, The reform to the course structure and teaching method make students like the course, enjoy learning, have more interest on the course.2, During lessens, 'real material processing method' was used to help students to develop their spatial imagination ability. This method also helped the students to improve their study.3, Developed the students' project consciousness.4, Enhanced the students' physical handling and innovating ability. |
