Screw centrifugal pump is a kind of new type liquid-solids transporting pump whose unique impeller structure combines both the advantages of screw pump and centrifugal pump. Not only screw centrifugal pump can reliably move, safely, but also its efficiency is prior to centrifugal impurity pump and vortical impurity pump. Now, screw centrifugal pump has become a kind of ideal liquid-solids handling pump and it has been used in transporting fruits, vegetables, fluffy materials, paper pulp, live fish and high density slurries, etc.So far, the research about the screw-centrifugal pump, in our country, is not as the same level as the common centrifugal pump in the ways of design manufacture and performance research. In design, domestic design of screw centrifugal pump has been done by using ID theory as same as designing the common centrifugal pumps; in manufacture, the technology is incomplete; in outside performance, fewer research has been done; in inner flow, research is less. The literature has not been seen, in interior flow simulation by the means of CFD. Thus, it is very significant to test the characteristic of the screw centrifugal pump and model the inner flow of this kind of pump to find the factors affecting the pump's performance and supply reference for further search in the flow in this kind of pump and new method of design.The main content of this paper is as follows:1 xperimentedthe energy and cavitation performance of screw centrifugal and analyzedi its work performance.2 . analyzed the influence of gap between inspiratory taper segment and blade by the research of gap between inspiratory taper segment and blade, and pointed out the rational gap scope in opotimal condition.3 simulated the inner flow of screw centrifugal pump by using the software of CFD discussed the inner flow law and analyzed the interior questions existing.4 summarized the interior flow law and questions screw centrifugal pump and put up with improving measures of design.
