With the progress of the radiation therapy , intensity modulated radiation therapy(IMRT) must be the leading technology of radiation therapy in 21st century. As the indispensable equipment of IMRT, multi leaf collimator(MLC) is very important. Because the price of import equipments is very expensive, developing it by ourselves become a major measure for decrease the high cost of radiation therapy. The subject of this paper is design and realization of multi leaf collimator recomstruction. The paper described the whole design process of new multi leaf collimator system,including system function analysis, recomstruction project design, electrocircuit design and programming etc. The paper also explicated the multilayer communication protocol and its programming realization, the thread schedule of multithreading program and the application of PID controller on multi-leaf collimator. This paper discussed the necessity of adaptive control, selected CMAC as learning and feedforward device to realize adaptive control, simulinked it using MATLAB and improved the algorithm is available.
