With the rapid development of communication technology for the civil and army. The spectrum analyzer as communication measurement instrument in the research, manufacture and maintenance of the communication equipment is needed urgently, and its application is wider and wider. The high-intermediate-frequency superheterodyne structure with third conversions is adopted in the final design scheme, the Image of input-frequency is restrained. The coaxial structure IF filter of combining Stepper-Impedance resonance and capacitor-loading is far smaller than conventional coaxial filter. In addition, by canceling-out of LO the problem of the first LO leaking is solved0. These are innovative and original points of the paper. The first of all, the principle of the heterodyne spectrum analyzer is deeply analyzed, the same as the indicators of the receiver design. Then, the key of the paper: the design method of miniature filter and canceling-out circuit are recounted. Finally, the system design and ultimate testing results are represented.
