This paper is done with the project "Gas Turbine HRSG Thermal Calculation System" which is developed by the Institute of Chemical Machinery of Zhejiang University and Jiaxing DongFang RiLi Boiler Plant in common. The Boiler Thermal Calculation System uses Process-System Theory as theory base, Modularize Modeling Method as modeling instrument, Object-Oriented technique, Design Patterns and other advanced techniques as developing methods. At the present time, the system has been tested with rigorous samples. In general, the research work of this paper includes: Put forward the point that Boiler is a special type of process-system which deals with the change of energy's style and carrier, and boiler thermal calculation is the simulation of this process-system indeed, based on Process-System. On the condition of it, choose an appropriate process analysis method for boiler thermal system, after comparing the present simulation methods of process-system. Process-System Method and its process simulation method is the theory base of the boiler thermal calculation system.Modularized Boiler thermal system base on Modularize Modeling method, then constructed the math models of boiler domain objects with boiler thermal calculation theory, and then found the system which can combine modules into system. So, the mechanism has been established which can combine a few parts modules into a large complex thermal system. Modularize Modeling Method explains how the boiler thermal system work.Use Object-Oriented technique, Design Patterns and other advanced techniques to develop the system, and make an attempt to improve the versatility and extensibility of the software system. About the architecture framework, use the abstracted objects to establish the stable system framework and use the derived subclass to expand the function of the system; about the boiler modeling, divide it into topology objects, domain objects and graphic objects three levels , which makes the separated three levels independent and agility.After analyzing the format and the objects of engineering calculating book, abstract its subject, and derives the calculating book instance objects from the subject. Based on calculating book objects, the generating calculating book subject is abstracted too. Any object that demand generate calculating book may inherit the subject, and finishes the definition of the generating book action in the inheriting process. The objects and the subjects that are described here can bewidely used as software development tools for many engineering systems that need generate calculating book. The applied system principle-frame confronts only the calculating book subject. At last, considering the calculating book as an example, discusses the technique, method and superiority of the subject-oriented.
