Aircraft battery is used for aircraft starting, communication, lightening, navigation and emergencies. It is an important element of aircraft mounted devices and is crucial for aircraft safety. The performance of the aircraft battery charger has a direct effect on the electrical properties and life-span of the battery. Intellectual battery has become one of the most popular research topics recently. Based on the need of military aircraft H6K, the thesis provides us a research to the operating modes and implementing methods of an intellectual aircraft battery charger.Based on the analysis and synthesis of several charging modes of the battery charger, the thesis develops an operating mode of the intellectual aircraft battery, designs an electric and electronics main circuit with the function of charging and discharging, and develops a high performance charging control system based on SCM ADμC812.The thesis adopts the double closed-loops control system with current and voltage, and realizes the two-phase charging of the battery successfully. It also develops a control system with ADuC812 as microprocessor, using this microprocessor, it can not only realize the intellectual charging function, but also has a perfect protection function, hence improves the charge reliability greatly. Using modern electric and electronic technologies, the thesis develops a high frequency power' converting circuit with MOSFET as switching tube; the switching frequency can reach 40KHZ. It reduces the size and weight of charging systems greatly and meets limitation and optimization of aircraft mounted devices' size and weight.
